Directions

1. Place beef sirloin into the freezer for about 20-30 minutes (this will help with slicing).

2. Start by adding about 2 TBSP of vegetable oil to a large pan over medium-low heat. Add the onion and peppers to the pan and sauté until tender. Once the veggies begin to brown, turn the heat down a bit.

3. Take the beef out of the freezer and place on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, chop the steak into very, very small pieces. Continue to stir veggies while you are chopping.

4. Transfer the veggies to a dish and add the meat to the pan over medium-high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes while stirring frequently until no pink remains. Season with salt and garlic pepper.

5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Split open hoagie buns and spread them with softened butter, add to a baking sheet. Bake for 3-5 minutes until lightly golden and toasted.

6. Finally, add the onions and peppers back to the pan with the meat. Cover the mixture with the slices of provolone cheese.

7. Once the cheese is melted, use tongs to transfer mixture to the toasted sandwich rolls.

8. ENJOY!
